Benny Doyle Nolan, born July 10, 1928 in Houston, Texas, the son of William and Ruth Tisdale Nolan, passed away November 12, 2015. He was a Navy veteran and a retired United States government employee. Once out of the Navy he used the G.I. bill to learn to fly and obtain a pilot's license. With his license he did crop dusting in Arkansas and around the Midwest, flew entertainers and sports figures on private and commercial excursions, and was a flight instructor at the Little Rock Air Force Base. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved to hunt, camp and spend time in the great outdoors. In retirement he was a part time gunsmith.
He is survived by wife, Freda; three sons, Mike (Elaine), Christopher, and Todd; two daughters, Karen and Kathy; stepson, Phillip (Pete); four grandsons, Aaron (Ashley), Matt, Jeremy, and
Patrick; and two great-granddaughters, Aven, and Lillian.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
