Bennie Ralph Tucker, age 89, of Austin passed away Sunday May 15, 2016.

He is survived by sons Kenneth Tucker (Linda) of Judsonia, Michael Tucker (Vicky) of Austin, Ronald Tucker (Karen) of Austin, and a daughter Tammie Rogers of Benton; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and sister, Lequedia Tackett of Quitman, Arkansas.

Bennie proudly served in the United States Army during WWII . After the war, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Bennie retired from Verizon, formerly known as GTE. He loved to trade and swap items while making friends. He never met a stranger.

Bennie is preceded in death by his wife Thelma Faye; parents; four brothers, Earl, Glenn, John, Doyle and one sister, Elfedia.


Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside Service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Philadelphia Cemetery, Prattsville, Arkansas. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. www.SmithFamilyCares.com
