Bennie Griffe

Bennie Ray (Big Daddy) Griffe, 95 of Little Rock, entered into the gates of Heaven to begin his eternal life on April 28, 2015. He was born on February 13, 1920 in Russellville, Arkansas to Walter Vern and Alletthia Griffe.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 71 years, Juanita McKinney Griffe; daughter Charlotte Ann Griffe Simpson; son Douglas Ray Griffe; five brothers Forrest, Robert, Charles, Ernest, and Warren Griffe; and two sisters Annie Merle Freeman and Freda Marie Doyle.

He is survived by four grandsons Benjamin Montgomery of Little Rock, Wayne (Shelly) Montgomery of Bryant, Todd (Dianna) Griffe of Hensley, Bryan (Jenifer) Griffe of Bryant; son-in-law Tony Simpson of Bryant; daughter-in-law Judy Griffe of Hensley; six great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

His lifetime was devoted to auto repair work and he was the owner of Griffe's Auto Repair in Little Rock for 42 years.

He was of Pentecostal faith and was a member of Christian Life Center in Little Rock for many years.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Stagecoach Nursing and Rehabilitation and Laura Lumsden and Philip Way from Remedy Drug for their devoted care to our Big Daddy.
