Benjamin E. "Ben" Thomas

Benjamin E. “Ben” Thomas, 85, of Jacksonville, Arkansas was called home by his Lord, December 1sst, 2021.  He was born September 5th, 1936 in Hunter, Arkansas to the late Herman and Bertha Long Thomas.

Ben married Christiane A. Thomas in March of 1999 and shared nearly 23 loving years together.  He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retiree of the Air Force Reserve after 23 years of dedicated service.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Herman Thomas, his brothers, Kenneth and Huey Thomas, and granddaughter, Amanda Garbacz.

His kind heart and loving nature will forever be cherished and  remembered by his wife Christiane Thomas, four daughters, Suzanne (Matthew) Garbacz, Cindy Bell, Melissa (Tim) Hill, and Katrina Thomas; his two sisters Susie Salmon and Gale (Richard) Osborn, many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and family and friends who were an important part of his life.

Ben loved reading his Bible, spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, and fishing with his wife.

A Celebration of Ben’s life will be held Monday, 9:30 a.m., December 6th, 2021 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood) burial will follow with military honors at Rest Hills Memorial Park.  Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com for guest register and video tribute.
