Benjamin Ernest Parker, Sr., aged 72, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025. Born on October 21, 1952, he led a life rich in experience and filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family.
Throughout his career, Ben dedicated many years of service as a body shop manager at Covenant Transport, where he was well regarded for his friendliness and outgoing personality. His approachable nature and great sense of humor made him a beloved figure not only among colleagues but also within the community. In the 1970’s, Ben worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.
In addition to his professional achievements, Ben proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning recognition as a Vietnam Veteran as well as receiving the National Defense Service Medal. His commitment to service exemplified his character and love for his fellow citizens.
Ben had a wide array of hobbies that brought him joy. He was an avid woodworker, expressing his creativity through his skilled hands. His passion for Corvettes was well-known among friends and family alike. Music from the 70s played a special role in his life, often accompanying gatherings and fond memories. War movies held a particular interest, resonating with his experience and perspective on life.
He is survived by his loving sons, Lennon Parker (Stephanie) and Jason Parker (Alissa), along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ben is also survived by his sister, Helen Lennette Davis and the mother of his children, Cheryl Parker, and a host of family and friends who will remember him fondly.
Ben joins in eternal rest his late parents, Lennon Parker, Sr. and Betty Parker, as well as his son, Benjamin "Benji" Parker, Jr., and his brother, Lennon Parker, II. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and the bonds he forged throughout his remarkable life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
