Benjamin Davenport

Benjamin "Benny" Davenport of Sherwood passed away March 27, 2015. He was born Jan 27, 1937 in Little Rock to the late Will and Bessie Davenport. He served in the U.S. Marines Reserve and enjoyed helping with Toys for Tots. He was a member of Bayou Meto Church, and was very active in the food pantry. Benny retired after forty years with Safeway and Harvest Foods Grocery.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Clidie Crook Davenport, siblings: David Davenport (Nadine), Bessie Yount, Gracie Nesbitt and sister-in-law, Geneva Davenport, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude and C.W. Davenport (Marie).
Memorials may be made to Bayou Meto Food Pantry 26200 Highway 107, Jacksonville, AR.
