Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Smith, 92, joined her Heavenly family peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016 and was preceded by her husband of 30 years, James H. "Doc" Smith, Sr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Yellen; grandson, Steven Smith and granddaughter, Michelle "Missy" Castro.
Bea is survived by her son, James H. Smith, Jr. and wife (Carolyn); grandson, Randall Smith and wife (Shana); great-grandson, Elliott Smith; Bea's daughter, Jeanette Primm; granddaughter, Stephanie Yellen; great grandchildren, Joshua Terrell, Meagan Moren, Lauryn Acevedo; brother, William "Bill" Yellen; sister, Sylvia Hayman; and many nieces, nephews and family.
Bea, an active Christian member since 1952 at Park Hill Baptist Church, sang in the choir, cantatas, solos, played hand bells, ukulele band, an active Sunday school and LLL member. Bea was an honored Southwestern Bell retiree and honored 25 year Springhill Baptist Hospital Volunteer.

The family extends our appreciation to the Cabot Nursing and Rehab Center Staff and to Arkansas Hospice for their love and devotion to our mother.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 15th at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16th at Park Hill Baptist Church, followed by interment in Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, NLR.
