Basil Sifford

Basil Garrison Sifford, 89, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was born January 18, 1930 in Bailey, Texas to the late John and Willie Sifford.

He graduated from high school in Texas, retired from the United States Air Force and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He will be loved and missed by all who knew and loved him.

Basil is survived by his wife of 67 years, Connie Clydine Sifford; four children, Debbie Sifford, Connie G. Sifford; and James and wife Tammie Sifford all of North Little Rock; and Laura and husband Brian Gehrki  of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Jason Blue Brown, Ashley Brown-Weaver and husband Johnny, Amanda Hughes and husband David, Hollie Sifford and Madeline Elizabeth Gehrki; and great-grandchildren, Emily Weaver, Haley Hughes and Bryson Hughes.

Service and Interment with full military honors will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
