Barney R. Rogers, age 85 of Arkadelphia died Saturday, Jan 7, 2006 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab. He was born March 29, 1920 in Ouachita County, AR the son of the late John and Mary Barkhiemer Rogers. He was a merchant marine and was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Rogers and two daughters, Amy Rogers and Windy McClure.
Survivors include one son, Troy Rogers of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Zelda Ferguson of Douglasville, GA and Lynn Jester of Curtis; two brothers, Dayton Rogers of Orange, TX two sisters, Helen Petty of Baton Rouge, LA. and Mary Alice Moseley of Camden, and Clifton Rogers of Pensacola, FL; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. To sign online guest register go to www.ruggleswilcox.com
