Barbara Thomason, a beloved and outgoing member of her community, passed away on February 12, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1941, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to her parents Herbert and Marie Rains. Barbara's life was filled with love for her family, devotion to God, and a warm and likeable personality that endeared her to everyone she met.
During her working years, Barbara served as a deli worker at the local grocery store. She brought joy to her customers with her friendly smile and inviting nature. Barbara had a natural gift for connecting with people and often went the extra mile to brighten someone's day.
Outside of work, Barbara enjoyed various hobbies and interests that brought her immense pleasure. She had a passion for crocheting which she loved to do in her free time, creating countless crafts along the way. Additionally, Barbara found solace in curling up with a good mystery novel.
Above all else, Barbara's devotion to God was unwavering. Her love for Him was deeply rooted in her heart and reflected in the way she treated others. She found strength and solace in her faith, which guided her through life's challenges and blessings alike.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Steve and Ricky Harvey.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by many beloved family members who meant the world to her. Donald Thomason, her loving husband, stood by Barbara's side through thick and thin, offering his unwavering support throughout their lives together. Barbara also leaves behind a daughter, Christy Johnson; and her son, Sammy Harvey. In addition to her children, Barbara adored her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Barbara Thomason's departure from this world is mourned by all who loved her. Her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and genuine love for others will be deeply missed. May we find solace in the knowledge that Barbara's legacy of love and warmth lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
