Barbara Spradlin

Barbara Clarice Gilliland Spradlin, of Beebe, Arkansas, met Jesus June 4, 2015, her desire for the past forty years. She was a saved, born-again Christian since the age of fourteen.

She was born April 29, 1927, in Swenson, Texas, to William and Mamie Gilliland. She is survived by her two children, Cynthia Loftis and Marvin Spradlin; grandchildren, Christina Barbee, Barbara Usery, Elizabeth Weston, Coy Loftis, Lydia Spradlin, Kelsey Hollands and David Spradlin; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was privileged to have traveled the world. She visited Israel, helped plant a mission in Brazil, South America, and had fun in Hawaii. She worked for the Southern Baptist Annuity Board for thirty-three years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sam Spradlin.

Many, many special thanks to Beebe Retirement Center for their care and loving attention to her and to Arkansas Hospice for making her final days comfortable.

She will always be loved and very much missed but we have many good memories of our time with her.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
