Barbara Shepherd

Barbara Ellen (Bledsoe) Shepherd age 82, of Coweta, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Cedarcrest Care Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born July 6, 1937 in Arkadelphia, AR. the daughter of the late Carley Sr. and Pearl (Smothers) Bledsoe. Barbara was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK. She enjoyed church activities, sewing, cooking, gardening and attending her high school reunions when her health permitted. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Steve Bledsoe.

Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Roy V. Shepherd of Coweta, Oklahoma; one son, Alan V. Shepherd of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Lewis (Maxine) Bledsoe and Carley Jr. (Joyce) Bledsoe; a sister, Dorothy (Harry) Eakin; nephews, Dennis Bledsoe, Danny (Patti) Bledsoe all of Arkadelphia; Jason (Kris) Eakin of Maumelle, Arkansas; four great-nephews, three great nieces, two great-great nephews and four great-great nieces.

Visitation will be at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 9:00 AM with funeral services following in the chapel at 10:00 AM with Bro. David Young officiating. Interment will be in DeGray Cemetery.
