Barbara Lynn Rogers, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Shreveport after a tenacious battle with lung cancer. She was born April 18, 1951 in Hot Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Tom Hudgins and Jeri Reagan of Grand Terrace, California.

Barbara was an excellent student and a talented artist. She received her Associates of Fine Arts in Music from the San Bernardino Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Elmhurst College and a Master of Pastoral Counseling from the National Christian Counselors Association.

She was a devout Christian, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and confidant. She loved others, carried burdens, worked for God and prayed unfailingly. She raised her children and those that were in the neighborhood. Barbara labored tirelessly for her family and devoted her life to the benefit of others.


She was preceded in death by a step-son, Samuel Junior Rogers.


Survivors are her husband, Lawis; her children, Robert, Elizabeth, Jason, James and Phillip; her step-children, Kristen, Kathryn, Duane and Deborah; her spiritual children; her siblings, Karen, Chuck and Anne; her mother, Jeri Reagan and countless grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 am Monday, June 20th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
