Barbara Jean Hess Reeves

Barbara Jean Hess Reeves, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was born November 12, 1933 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Josephine Hart Hess and Bernard Albert Hess, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Isaac “Ike” Reeves, Jr.; siblings: Ruby Lee Hess, Margaret Anne Hess Futrell, Bernard Albert Hess, Jr. and Shirley Marie Hess. She is survived by her children, Tina Marie Hunt (William) of Oklahoma and Bob Reeves (Jodi) of Little Rock; grandchildren:  Megan Goines (David) of Oklahoma, Amanda Klamm (Michael) of Little Rock, Rachel Reeves of Little Rock, Christopher Hunt of Texas and Haley Reeves of Little Rock; great-grandchildren:  Caleb, Isaac, and Simon Goines and Nora Klamm; and siblings, Charles Edward Hess (Scottie) of Amagon, Arkansas and John Joseph Hess, Sr. (Cora) of West Virginia.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26th until Rosary at 2:30 p.m., at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or to her church.
