Barbara McKenney

Barbara Sue McKenney, 62, of Little Rock, passed away March 20, 2015. Born in Goliad, Texas to Owen Lewis Rylie and Ruby Lee Malone Rylie, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of nursing experience in critical care, surgical care and clinical research at hospitals in Little Rock and Pine Bluff. She was also a published author of "The Ancient Necklace."

Preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, she is survived by her husband, Mike McKenney; sons, Michael Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia and Larry Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughters, Brittany Johnson of Little Rock and Victoria Johnson of San Antonio; nine siblings and more family than anyone could imagine.

Services will be Wednesday, March 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. James Richards. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
