Barbara Luker

Barbara Jean Luker, 74, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 after courageous battle with lung cancer. She was a 1957 graduate of North Little Rock High School, retired as an LPN from the Red Cross, and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in North Little Rock. She loved doing crosswords (in ink), flower gardening and was a highly intelligent lady with a "firecracker" personality.
She is survived by her two children, Karla Ehemann and Gregg Luker; grandson, Evan Ehemann; granddaughter, Emelia Luker; sisters, Judy Dumas and Betty Burton and several extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Belton and Johnnie Pearl Shipp Prowse and her granddaughter, Korie Ehemann.
Because of Barbara's love for animals and children, memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
