Barbara Taylor

Barbara Lou Taylor ("Sis", Mom", "Mamaw Barbara", "Mamaw Pete") 80, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord, on Monday, May 04, 2015 following a long battle with cancer. The Good Lord held her hand all the way. She was a member of 47th Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock and a retired Civil Service employee. Barbara loved to laugh, enjoyed gardening, but was happiest spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Charlotte "Tooey" Johnson; two sons, Stephen Taylor and Ron Taylor (Elaine); granddaughters, JoAnn Taylor, Dawn Marie Powell (Matthew), Stephanie Tutor (Bobby) and Lindsey Webb (Russ); great-grandchildren, Cameron Meharg, Zoey Taylor, Addison Taylor, Abby Rhea Powell, Lilly Powell, Brandie Tutor, Ryan Tutor, Anna Claire Tutor, Carson Wreyford, Maddox Wreyford, Paige Webb, Payne Webb, Avah Webb and Jett Webb; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ocra "Lady Bug" Stewart; an infant brother, Larry Stewart and her companion of 35 years, Leonard "Pete" Petersen.
Barbara's family would like to extend a special Thanks to Yulanda Speed, our adopted "Sis", for the continual dedication and loving care during her final weeks.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday at 47th Street Baptist Church. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday at Cave City Cemetery, Cave City, AR. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.
