Barbara Gilbert

Barbara Revelle Gilbert, age 81, of North Little Rock passed away on June 7, 2022. She was born in Adams County, Illinois to Willie Gilbert and Mildred Altheide. Barbara was of Baptist faith and a follower of Christ.

Barbara was an avid reader, a lover of animals and a follower of professional rodeo.  For the duration of her adult life, she collected pro rodeo magazines and books and spent many hours recording rider’s scores.  As a lover of animals, Barbara finally got her first dog, JJ, after she retired from her printer assistant position with the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jessie Gilbert and Francis Gilbert, as well as her best friend Rose Marie Willis and her beloved JJ.

She is survived by many friends, in particular Janet Williams and Linda Miller, both of whom helped to care for her over the past few years.  She is also survived by a niece and many nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
