Barbara Ann Gardner, 77, of Benton, AR, passed away August 11, 2015. She was born May 8, 1938 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Gilbert E. and Helen Louise James Coan.
Barbara was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Benton Senior Center. She worked as a cook in area restaurants.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Robert Gardner; and two grandchildren, Tonya Young and Hayley Carter.
Cherishing her memories are six children, Eileen Rivero, Gerald Powell and wife Rebecca, Robert Gardner, Cheryl Burnett and husband Troy, Tina Lovell, and Brenda Carter and husband Kevin; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Woolheater and Mary Rabbit; as well as many other relatives and friends who loved Barbara and will miss her always.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Kim Hammer, will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery assisted by pallbearers Joe Young, Cody Carter, Luke Witham, Troy Burnett, Dewell Lovell, and Brady Baker.
