Barbara Davis

Barbara Ann Davis (Maw), 75 years of age born on February 23rd, 1944, from North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully to be with her father and mother on February 21st, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Barbara lived most of her life in the Park Hill Area of North Little Rock, Arkansas.  She enjoyed so many things about the outdoors like camping, taking long drives in the country with her kids, flea markets, cooking, growing plants and more.  She also had a deep liking of her pets, sewing and crafts, along with TV shows about fixing up old houses.  Barbara retired from UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas where she made many friends that also called her by her family nickname of ‘Maw’.  She was, is and will always be loved by many and all.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Lewis D. and Marion G. Smith, her loving aunt Priscilla Gentry, grandson Brin (Jr) Nirenberg; and James Davis Sr. (her children’s father).  She is survived by her four children residing in Arkansas: Charlotte “Sherry” (Brin) Nirenberg of Cabot, James “Tommy” (Stephanie) Davis Jr of Little Rock, Judith (Tim) Allen of Mayflower, and Michael (Christina) Davis of Cabot; six grandchildren Sarah (Drew) Ross, Justin (Ashley) Matthews, Cody (Savannah) Kelley, Blake Hunter, Bryan Nirenberg and Kaylea Sheets; and four great grandchildren Saylor, Isabel, Koen & Jameson, and many extended family, friends and loved ones.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street.   Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Edgewood Memorial Park.
