Ava Rogers

Ava Nell Rogers, 91, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born December 18, 1918, in the Bacumn Community of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to Roy Thomas and Lona (Causey) Sory, and she died peacefully Tuesday December 22, 2009 surrounded by her family.

Ava Nell was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She made her house a warm welcoming home for everyone. She was a hard worker, loved to cook and made sure her family and friends never left her home hungry. Ava Nell was always ready to visit, pull a prank, and fill the room with laughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, Hubert Rogers; her parents, an infant son, Danny Earl; three brothers, R.T., Kenneth, and Robert Lee Sory and a sister Lela Goshien


Ava Nell is survived by four sons, Jackie Rogers and wife, Katie of Kensett, James Rogers and wife, Nancy of Woodville, Texas; Bobby Rogers and wife, Cheri of McRae, Billy Rogers and wife, Sandy of Beebe; one daughter, Martha Rogers of McRae; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Hale and Patsy Beebe and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Sunday December 27 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday December 28
