The mighty Augustus "Gus" Bo Britton, forever 6, has won his race and joined his heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Gus is a kingdom builder. He loved Jesus and would share his smile with anyone he met. He brought joy to everyone with his goofy nature, silly jokes, and elaborate costumes. His imagination was limitless, his heart was pure, his soul was kind and he was absolutely fearless. Gus loved being outside. He was the best swimmer, fisherman, tractor-driver, and dam-builder. He created masterpieces with any art tool he could get his hands on. His scientific mind loved learning how the world worked and his curiosity fueled countless experiments, most of which ended in a mess. He was an engineer of magnetic structures and extensive booby traps. He was an inspiration. Gus will forever be remembered as a warrior.
He is survived by his parents, Bo and Kayla Britton of Austin, Arkansas; grandparents Marty and LaVonn Gustafson of Sherwood, Arkansas and Mike and Judy Britton of Heber Springs, Arkansas; uncle Dustin Britton (Kera) of Conway, Arkansas; great-grandparents Sandy Phelps of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Sandi Rivers of Yuma, Arizona, Peggy Goehring of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Mary (Wayne) Jorgenson of Aledo, Texas; and a host of family and friends who will miss him very much.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Arkansas Childrens, Cincinnati Childrens, Texas Childrens, Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati, the city of Austin, Arkansas and the tremendous amount of love and support that the community and numerous Childhood Cancer organizations have offered them for the last 3.5 years of Gus's fight against neuroblastoma. The blessings will forever be cherished.
A visitation for Gus is scheduled for Thursday, December 1 from 5:00-7:00pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow the next morning on Friday, December 2 at 11:00am located at New Life Church, 3400 W. Main St. in Cabot, Arkansas.
By request of the family, please wear any color that is in the rainbow. Gus loved rainbows and would tell you “my favorite color is any color in the rainbow but my most favorite is green!”
