Audrey Eleanor Lohstoeter, 80, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 following a brief illness at St.Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. Born September 12, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Marcus C. and Margaret Butler Coyne. By education, training and profession, Audrey was a Registered Nurse. She married John E. Lohstoeter, M. D. on September 13, 1954 and they moved to Little Rock in 1957. They both retired from Dr. Lohstoeter's practice of Orthopedic Surgery in 1988.
Audrey was a loving wife and a devoted and beloved mother of six children: Janice Hutchinson, Geia Lohstoeter, Cameron Lohstoeter, Susan Ford (Doug), Glenn Geiger of Little Rock, and Lori Lohstoeter (Jim Bradford) of Norwalk, Connecticut, all of whom survive her. "Audie" was the cherished grandmother of John and Mitchell Ford. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles Coyne (Joan) of Plymouth, Massachusetts and William Coyne (Cathy) of Brielle, New Jersey; and her sisters, Grace Coyne and Marge Gasbarro (Ronald) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, and her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Peggy Coyne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 10 at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock by Msgr. Royce Thomas. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Audrey will lie in state on Sunday, December 9, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, with visitation (6:00-8:00 p.m.) to follow.

N. and Ella Morton, R. N. for their exceptional care, plus the entire ICU staff for the excellent and compassionate care given to Audrey during her stay at St. Vincent Infirmary.
