Audie Irene Langston Williams, age 95, of Amity, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011, at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs. She was born on September 28, 1915, in Alpine, the daughter of Henry Langston and Mary Francis Caldwell Langston. On May 25, 1930, she was married to Kress Williams who preceded her in death on December 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Bennie Williams Cantrell; two grandsons, Stephen Alan Cantrell and Clinton "Dale" Cantrell; three sisters, Cordelia White, Ophelia Florence and Daisy Owens; and her brother, Charlie Langston. She was a member of the Bethsaida Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Reba and Don Kuykendall of Amity; five grandchildren, Larry Kuykendall, Tanya Deaton, Rhonda Staggs, Kandy Kuykendall and Dalana Williams; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 17, 2011, in the Bethsaida Church of Christ with Wallace Alexander and Dale Justice officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the White Cemetery near Amity under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Larry Kuykendall, Shane Kuykendall, Cody Kuykendall, Paul Staggs, Kainan Staggs and Larry Overton. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Lee Wilson, Chris Smith, Clifton Partridge, Crawford Wilson, Dr. Noland Hagood and his nurse, Alvern, and Joyce Lambert, her friend and personal care giver.
