Ashley Nicole West, 14, of Benton died at home surrounded by her family Thursday night. Ashley was born February 20, 2002 in Little Rock to Jerry and Donna (Weems) West.
Ashley loved life and she lived it to the fullest every day, she was a very out spoken and strong willed young lady who knew the value of family and friends and she cherished her relationships greatly. She was a very social person that enjoyed being in band and playing the flute, she enjoyed camping and on-line gaming, but, loved Japanese animation and her sugar glider.
Ashley is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather; Jerry West. She is survived by her parents Jerry and Donna (Weems) West: two Brothers she loved to annoy; Cody and Brandon West: maternal grandparents; James and Retha Weems: Paternal Grandma; Christina Cardenes; paternal great-grandmother, Margaret West; and a host of other friends and family who will forever miss her.
Visitation with reception will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM with service following at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 Market St, Benton, AR 72015.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the entire staff at Arkansas Children Hospital, especially Dr. Mack and Dr. Bectin, Molly and the staff at Arkansas Hospice for caring for her so well through the transition, Benton boys and girls club and Burchtree Community.
