Arthur Tice

Arthur Benjamin Tice, 90, of Little Rock, died on Sunday, February 21, 2010. He was born November 17, 1919 at Topeka, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, A.T. Tice and Mamie Tice; brothers, Ralph Tice and James M. Tice; his sister, Phyllis Garbisch; his son Robert Logan Tice and granddaughter, Daniella Hascall.
Mr. Tice is survived by his wife, Frances Douglass Tice; his daughter, Judy Hascall and husband, Bill; his son, Arthur Benjamin Tice II and wife, Nancy; his daughter, Joan Lucking and husband, Clyde; and son, Thomas F. Tice and wife, Martha. He is also survived by his brothers, retired General R. Dean Tice and wife, Eunice, John T. Tice and wife, Alice, Jerry Lee Tice and Larry D. Tice and wife, Phyllis; and his sister, Betty Myers and husband, John; 16 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind hundreds of former students whose lives he touched in many profound and meaningful ways.
Ben was an outstanding musician and a superb teacher and a loving husband, a devoted Lutheran and most of all a very kind and gentle man.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 7525 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 (Markham and Mississippi), officiated by Rev. Carl Hoffman. Please honor Ben's love for the simple things in life by dressing casually for his funeral service.
