Arthur Luck, age 100, died on May 29th, 2018. He was born September 14, 1917 in New York City. He enlisted in the US Army Air Corp in 1942 where he was awarded 4 bronze battle stars after serving his country in WWII.
After WWII, he completed graduate studies in physics and taught Physics at Michigan State University. He then began working for General Electric where he performed research in advanced radar systems. He eventually became employed by Raytheon, where he was sent to Santa Barbara, California to head a new division as an Engineer Manager, working in radar countermeasures.
Arthur loved biking and went on seven different bike tours of Europe. He also was an accomplished sailor. While living in Santa Barbara he sailed the Pacific coast in his boat for many years. He had a passion for learning and mastered every endeavor that he pursued.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Luck and her children, Jan, Steve, Jerry, Joan, and Lisa Sallings; his son, David Luck; niece, Stephanie Baer; and nephew, Tony Baer.
Arthur will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his quick wit, and kind heart. Memorial service arrangements are pending.
