Arthur M. (Art) Cooper, 88, of Cabot, died Monday, July 6, 2009. His parents Arthur M. and Lela Erle Cooper, a brother Ben G. Cooper, and a son David Cooper predeceased him.
Mr. Cooper was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad and Bale Chevrolet. Mr. Cooper was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Isabelle Cooper, sons Bob Cooper of Grapevine, Texas, Bill Cooper of North Little Rock and Mark (Tamera) Cooper of Conway; daughters Karen (Paul) Jaworski of North Little Rock, Kathleen Kremers of Russellville and Barbara (Kevin) Spellman of Portland, Oregon; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10:00 A.M., at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the Cabot E.M.T.?s and Baptist Hospital Emergency-Trauma Unit in Little Rock for all their care and concern.
