Arlene Ann Hunter Spence, 93, of Austin went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2011. She was cherished as a sweet and loving Mother and Grandmother.
She was born March 23, 1918 to Albert Sydney and Eupha Day Hunter in Beebe, Arkansas.
Arlene was a member of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church in the Sylvania community.
Arlene served as a school teacher at Sylvania School, owner of The Candy Store near Cabot Schools, and was an assistant to her husband, O.E. Spence, Lonoke County Judge.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Oris Spence and daughter, Shirley Barger; brother, Weldon Hunter; sisters, Wilodean Carver and Bernice Witt.
Survivors include a daughter, Gale and son-in-law, Doug Sikes; granddaughters, Lissa Russ and Dayna Bandy; grandsons, Bryan, Jeff and Roger Sikes and their families; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
