Anthony “Tony” Philip Jenders, 69, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home in the community of Marche, Arkansas with family by his side. Tony was born October 22, 1951 to Carolyn Knight Jenders and Philip Andrew Jenders in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Tony graduated Catholic High School (1969) and served in Arkansas National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Carolyn Jenders. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy Richardson Jenders, Amanda (daughter), Zoe and Abbey (granddaughters), Jason (step-son), two sisters Phyllis DeClerk (Tom) and Sue Balest (Phil), several nieces and nephews.
Tony was employed with AFCO Steel of Little Rock for 38 years. He made many friends as Shop Supervisor, Little Rock Plant Manager, Structural Fabrication Manager.
The most important figures in Tony’s life were “my mother and father, Rev. George Tribou (Catholic High School), Barnell Patrick and Bob Bendigo (AFCO) because these people taught me a lot about life, people, steel.” People responded to Tony with mutual respect, friendship and love.
Tony spent his time and energy doing the things he loved. He loved unconditionally his wife (Judy), his daughter (Amanda), granddaughters (Zoe & Abbey). He loved hunting, fishing, trapping with his life long friend Karlin Treat. He loved hanging out on his property in Marche And Tony really loved to laugh.
Our family thanks the following for helping Tony: Andrew, Hunter, Haley, Adam, Oak Grove Fire Department, Hospice Homecare, Home Helpers of Little Rock.
“Here is one final toast to my fishing/hunting buddies, Karlin and Richard and Rick, and a special goodbye to my constant companion Simon (dachshund)”.
Funeral cremation tribute will be Monday, 2:00 p.m., December 21, 2020 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main St.) with visitation being one hour prior to service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Memorials can be made to your favorite charities. Funeral Service will be livestreamed on the Smith-North Little Rock Facebook page .
