Anthony Zardo, Jr. (Tony), 75, of Beebe, Arkansas, went home to Heaven on January 18, 2024. He was born in Santa Barbara, California on April 17, 1948.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Antonio Zardo of Santa Barbara.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Evans) Zardo; sons Brian (Erica) Zardo of Beebe, and Kevin (Roxi) Zardo of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren Blayne Zardo, Elijah Zardo and Samuel Zardo; niece Tracy (Daniel) James; nephew Brent (Brittney) Stevens and their daughter, Aspen; two sisters Joyce Stevens and Janine Zardo, all of California.
Tony loved drag racing, animals and going to the donut shop to swap stories with his friends. He was always ready to help someone in need.
His Air Force years were spent in McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas, where he was a mechanic in the motor pool. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force at the rank of E5 Staff Sergeant in 1972. He was later honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserve in 1974.
After the Air Force, Tony worked in parts stores, as a millwright in factories, and as a truck driver.
Tony’s service will be Friday, January 26, 2024, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas.
