Ann Tomlin Hurst, 57, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully at her home on March 25, 2008. She was born January 14, 1951 in Jonesboro to Edith and Haile Bowers. She attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. It was there that she met Pat, her future husband, on a blind date in 1971. Ann completed her education at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences campus, earning a degree in dental hygiene. She began her practice in 1973 with Dr. Charles Fowler, Dr. Charles Haynie and Dr. Jim Orsini. Ann loved her work and especially loved her patients. She was active in her children's schools, Holy Souls, Catholic High and Mount St. Mary. She was a former member of the Junior League of Little Rock. Ann loved to travel, garden, fly fish and spend time at her home in Heber Springs. She was a member of Holy Souls Catholic Church.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Haile Bowers. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Pat; son, Chris and his wife, Delena, of Little Rock; daughters, Kathryn and Mary, also of Little Rock; her mother, Edith Bowers, of Jonesboro; brothers, Pax of Bloomington, Illinois, Rob (Carolyn) of Hot Springs Village and John (Sally) of Birmingham, Alabama; several nieces and nephews and uncountable friends. She will be missed forever.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 31st at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Souls Catholic Church, with Msgr. Royce Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monsignor Allen Trust and Development Fund for Our Lady of the Holy Souls School or a charity of your choice.
