Anita Eileen Meili

Anita’s journey began on June 30, 1938, with her birth to Doryce and Roy Kissling at Kansas, Ohio. After marrying Eugene Meili on December 17,1960, she spent the next 28 years teaching elementary school children.

During their marriage they were blessed with 4 children: Cynthia Ann Meili, Eugene Roy Meili, Elizabeth Ann (Meili) Perry, and Jennifer Lynn (Meili) DeWeese all of whom survive her. She is also survived by her husband Gene, a sister Evelyn Fruchey of Mesa, Arizona, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

After retirement in 1993 Anita and her husband traveled the United States volunteering at campgrounds and wildlife refuges. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents. Her journey ended peacefully at 7:43 am on August 30, 2022, at her home in Alexander, Arkansas surrounded by her family.
