Anita Griffin - 52, died Tuesday June 10th 2008. Born August 28th 1955 in Mena, AR to Glen and Margie Lewis. She was a devout Christian; a member of the Church Of Christ in Mabelvale, who met the diagnosis of cancer with courage and prayer. Anita was a Registered Nurse and clinic manager at UAMS for 14 years. She was dearly loved and respected by many nurses, doctors, clerical staff, and management there. Her devotion and love for the Lord and family was a gift and light to all who knew her. Her strength and unshakeable faith allowed her to reach out to those who suffered. She continued spreading love, hope, joy, and her sense of humor with family, friends, and patients until the last moment. Anita was preceded in death by her father Glen Lewis, grandmother Pearl Kiser, and aunts Lula May Standridge and Velma Simpson. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years John Griffin; two wonderful children Sarah Griffin of Little Rock, and Jason Griffin of Alexander; her mother Margie Lewis of Mena; 2 brothers- Randy Lewis and wife June of Big Canoe, GA; John Lewis and wife Diane of Little Rock; 2 sisters- Dianne Law and husband Gale; Margaret Overton and husband Myles; Mother-In-Law Virginia Griffin of Fountain Hill; Sisters-In-Law Martha Bush and husband Tommy, Susan and Lisa Griffin; Brother-In-Law Oliver Griffin and wife Mignon; 3 nieces Casey Smith, Olivia Overton, and Tasha Yoder; and 9 nephews- Scott Lewis, Eric Lewis, Todd, Lewis, Mark Lewis, Matt Law, Blake Griffin, Lance Griffin, Glenn Bush, and Tony Law. Pallbearers will be brothers and brothers-in-law; Randy Lewis, John Lewis, Gale Law, Myles Overton, Oliver Griffin, and Tommy Bush. Visitation will be held from 6-9Pm at Huson Funeral Home 6400 Mabelvale Pike in Little Rock, Wednesday June 11, 2008. Funeral services will be Thursday 9:30 a.m. at Mabelvale Church of Christ, 10820 Mabelvale West Road, Mabelvale, AR. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Mabelvale Church of Christ P.O.
