Anita Diane McCormack Engel, 71, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. She was born May 23, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was an active member of First Christian Church and an avid Disciple of the Bible. She was a passionate artist and a lover of all animals.
Anita touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademarked sense of humor all the way to the end.
She will forever be remembered by her devoted husband, Larry Engel; children, Earle Shamblin, Mandy Engel Butler, Nicholas Engel and their spouses; granddaughter, Morgan Shamblin; mother, Margaret Snodgrass; sisters, Linda McCormack and Cherie Hanks (Nathan); brothers, David Snodgrass (Susan) and Barron McCormack (Marla); and best friend, Mary Sue Gray; along with countless other friends and extended family whom were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Jo Ford and her father, Aubrey Lee McCormack.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Anthonia Onuoha with Hospice Home Care for her loving care.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1500 N. Mississippi, Little Rock.
