Angela Hope Kinder, 33, passed away peacefully at her home in Sherwood, Arkansas, Sunday, December 14, 2008. She was born February 18, 1975 in Yellville, Arkansas to Sherry Smart King and Larry D. King.
Angela married Bryan Kinder, November 1, 1997 in Sarasota, Florida. Bryan was her hero who loved, cherished and supported her in sickness and in health. Bryan was her primary care giver throughout her two year battle with sarcoma.
Angela was a graduate of Pine View High School in Sarasota, Florida and held a B.A. from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She has worked as a student coordinator at the University of South Florida and an alumni coordinator at Murray State College in Murray, Kentucky. She has been employed since 2006 as Institutional Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Angela had a talent for art and writing as well as a love for literature. She has written many poems and short stories and had recently completed a children?s story.
The family wishes to express thanks to Dr. Joe Beck, the nurses on 7 East at St. Vincent Medical Center and Arkansas Hospice for the compassionate care she received. Also, special thanks to the Sherwood Police Department and all the friends and members of the community who have supported us during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home at 1921 Main St. in North Little Rock, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke?s Episcopal Church at 4106 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in North Little Rock at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday with Father Keith Gentry officiating.
