Amy Elizabeth Dodson Thomas, 83, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer?s. Amy was born November 20, 1925 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Rosena Dodson.
Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sandra Fearneyhough; sister, Frances Smithson; two brothers, John Waymon and Bert Dodson. She is survived by her daughter, Dianna Farish; two sons, Ted Thomas and Virgil ?Sandy? Thomas and wife, Karren; brother, Albert Dodson and wife, Susie who Amy always considered a sister; grandchildren, Kenny and Christopher Fearneyhough, Calvin and Stacie ?Wassell? Thomas, Caitlin Thomas and Amanda Dailey Thomas and Beverly Edmonson; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Amy loved her family unconditionally, always had a sense of fun in her life and eyes that twinkled brightly. She loved gardening and being outdoors and took great pride in her daily life.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the CNA?s and LPN?s at Northridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation who prayed for our Mother and lovingly cared for her when she could not care for herself. May God bless each and every one of you.
She was our mother, confidant and best friend and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bayou Meto Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M., until service at the funeral home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
