Services were held on Thursday, December 9, 2010, for Amy Fay Spoon, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, who went to meet her Savior on Monday, December 6, 2010, at her son's home in Cleburne, Texas. Amy was born in Humnoke, Arkansas, on September 5, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents Ella Seaton Morgan and John Thomas Morgan, and her brothers, Samuel Morgan and JT Morgan.
Amy is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, JR Spoon Jr., and daughter, Rebecca Jo Rogers and son-in-law Chip, of Vilonia, Arkansas, as well as, son, Joe "Scooter" Spoon and daughter-in-law, Suzanne, of Cleburne, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amy Carter and husband, Brent, of Forrest City, Arkansas, Ellie Matthews and husband, Mark, of Conway, Arkansas, Stuart Spoon and wife, Julia, of Arlington, Texas, Susannah Spoon, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and great-grandson, Tyler Thurman of Conway, Arkansas.
Amy was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Amy was a longtime member of Baring Cross Baptist Church in North Little Rock Arkansas and the Grand International Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
