Amy Lynn James, 30 of Maumelle, Arkansas died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock after a life long battle with diabetes.
Born February 17, 1977 in Nevada, Missouri, she was the daughter of Larry W. and Jeanece James and the late V. Janet James. She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1995. She was a member of Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church, and she was very active in diabetes and hemophilia research.
Amy was a proud mother of two boys that she had devoted her life to. Each of them was born with hemophilia and required constant care in which Amy was always involved, despite struggling with her diabetes. She had a contagious laugh that her family will always cherish.
She was preceeded in death by her Mother, V. Janet James; her Grandmother, Francis O'Hara; her Grandparents, Helen and Dan Walter; her Grandfather, Jay Jessie James; and her brother-in-law, Michael P. Sheehan.
Surviving Amy are her husband, Jimmy Womack of Maumelle; her children, Christian James and Jordan Baker of Maumelle; her parents, Larry and Jeanece James of No. Little Rock; her sister, Angela Sheehan of Dunmore, Pennsylvania; her brothers, Jeffrey James and wife, Lacey of Cabot; Michael Morris and wife, Denise of Kensett; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A private memorial service was held in her memory the day following her death. Her body was donated to medical research in an effort to find a cure for diabetes. The family requests that instead of flowers, any gifts or memorial contributions be sent to a trust fund for her surviving children set up by the Hemophilia Foundation at First Service Bank, P.O.
