Amos Williams, 77, of McRae, Arkansas, was born February 4, 1933, at England Arkansas, to Charley O. and Bertha (Kirtley) Williams, and he died March 21, 2010, at Searcy, Arkansas. On December 20, 1975, he married Anna Jean (Clare) Williams who survives. Amos Williams was a man that loved life and the people he had in it. He was known by his warm smile and gentle personality. He also loved all animals. He was a lifelong & proud resident of the McRae community.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Stephen Thompson of Kokomo, Indiana, and Terry Thompson of McRae; four grandchildren, Kyle Thompson (Mandy Shaw) and Emily Thompson and Wesley & Colton Taylor, all of Beebe; two brothers, Charles Williams (Wanda) of McRae and Don Williams (Lil) of Alexander; two very close and special friends, Wayne Sheets of Kokomo, Indiana and Susanne Neal of McRae; and a host of nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, J.B., L.C., and William P. Williams; and one sister, Mildred.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at McRae Church of Christ, with burial in Weir Cemetery.
