Amos Reeves,

Amos ?Ike? Reeves Jr., 78, of North Little Rock departed this earthly life July 25, 2009. He was born November 7, 1930 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Amos I. and Lois Marie Reeves. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean conflict that served with the 28th General Hospital. He worked 38 years with the Union Pacific Railroad and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge 1004 of North Little Rock, and the American Legion.
He spent some of his happiest moments with his grandchildren supporting and encouraging them in all their many activities.
Fishing, gardening, woodworking, and golfing were just a few of his many favorite hobbies. He was an avid Razorback fan and loved cooking at the Elks lodge.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Barbara J. Reeves, of North Little Rock; son, Bob Reeves and Jodi, of Little Rock; daughter, Tina M. Hunt and Bill, of Greenwood, Arkansas; grandchildren, Megan and David Goines, Amanda Hunt, Rachel Reeves, Christopher Hunt, Haley Reeves; brother, Jimmy Reeves and Rosemary of Wynne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Margaret and Charles Futrell, Bernard Hess, Charles Hess and Scottie, Shirley Manuel, Joe Hess and Cora; and a host of extended family.
The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers of Baptist Memorial Hospital for their words of encouragement and care.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until the Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
