Amos D. Andrews, Sr. of Benton died Saturday, November 1, 2014. Amos was born April 16, 1930.
Amos was preceded in death by his father, Guthrie Andrews; mother, Susan Rhodes, of Jacksonville and a brother, Johnney Andrews. He is survived by three sons, Amos Andrews, David Andrews and Don Andrews; daughter, Diane Andrews Hunter, of Redfield; sister, Euvelle Spruiell of North Little Rock; brother, Silas Andrews, of Mauldin Missouri; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Amos served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 334. He had worked on the Alaskan Railroad and retired from Longhills Golf Course in Benton.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
