Amanda Elizabeth Searles Welch

Amanda Elizabeth Searles Welch, age 76, of Lodi, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015. She was born on September 1, 1938, in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Everett Searles and Nellie Griffen Searles. On September 19, 1957, she was married to Bonnie Welch. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Bonnie Welch of Lodi; four children, Dorothy Stringer of Hot Springs, Doyle Welch of Lodi, Dewey Welch of Malvern and Dewayne Welch of Lodi; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Searles of Andrew, Indiana and Richard Searles of North Manchester, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2015, in the Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Arlie Francis officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Mike Shively, Bruce Welch, Eric Mount, Billy Carl Cogburn, Gary Searles and Jeff Welch. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
