Williams, Althea Louise
Althea Louise Crowell-Williams, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and life long friend to many passed away April 30, 2008 at Baptist Hospital Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Althea was born in Dexter, Maine. She was an executive secretary for many years before happily settling into motherhood and homemaker. She lived for over 30 years in Rochester, New York, moved to California for a few years before moving to Edgewater, Florida in 1990 where she resided until the death of her beloved husband of 60 years in 2004. She moved back to California in 2004 to live with her son and his wife. In 2008 she settled in Rose Bud, Arkansas, where she loved the beauty and serenity of quiet country life. Althea was a passionate reader and continued to do crossword puzzles on a daily basis.
Althea was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Christine and her husband, Howard. She is survived by her beloved son, Mark Charles Williams of Rose Bud; four grandsons: Aaron Van Ryne of Florida, Bryan, Ross, and Robert Williams of California; and loving extended family, grandson, Barry Roehrig of Rose Bud; three beloved great granddaughters; and a great grandson.
Althea was a devout Catholic and a lady of refinement and dignity. A gentle soul and friend to all. She will be forever loved and eternally remembered.
She would appreciate any remembrances in her name be made to the
American Heart Association.
