Alta Brady, 91, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009. She was a member of 47th Street Baptist Church for 64 years. She was the wife and homemaker of her late husband for 21 years. She then worked for Sterling Department Store for 15 years until they closed and for Alco and Magic Mart until she retired. She loved flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Taylor (Gerald), of Little Rock; sister, Beatrice Dilbeck, of North Little Rock; two brothers, Kenneth Evans (Gisela), of North Little Rock and Charles Evans (Roberta), of Colwich, Kansas; five grandchildren, Deborah Smith (Benny) of Cabot, Jeffrey Brady, of Nashville, Tennessee, Randy Corzine (Beth), of Cohasset, Minnesota, Angela Brogdon (Terry) of El Dorado, Shirley Maddox (Charles) of Ward; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She has many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, four brothers and two sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Brady and son, Wayne Brady.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
