Alma Jo Weatherford

 

Alma Jo Weatherford, 80, of North Little Rock, AR, passed peacefully at home, Tuesday, October 10th, 2023. Ms. Weatherword was born June 28, 1943 in DeKalb, TX. Jo was retired from Timex and she was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was proceeded in death by her father, William Eugene Alexander, and her mother, Bette Alexander Castor. As well as her siblings, William J. Alexander and Carolyn Sue Hancock. Her remaining sister, Bette J. Allen, currently resides in Queen City, TX.

 

Other survivors include her daughter, Angela Tucker, and her son, Allen Weatherford. Her grandchildren, Heather Shew, Erin Eddington, and Jay and Doss Weatherford. As well as four great-grandchildren and her beloved extended family. 

 

Ms. Weatherford was initiated into OES on 4/11/72. She was a Perpetual Member, a Past Matron, and Secretary of the Jewel Chapter. She served AR Grand Chapter as a Deputy Grand Lecturer, Grand Officer, Grand Representative, and also served on Registration for many years. The sisterhood is deeply in mourning.

 

Jo was known for her sharp wit, roccus sense of humor,  giving heart and her dedication to her loved ones. She was also a wonderful cook, known within the family for her Thanksgiving dressing. Jo will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. 

 

The family will have a private memorial service in Texas. There will be no visitation. In liu of flowers, donation can be directed  to: The Order of the Eastern Star, Florence Chapter’s Service Dog Support Fund, 12 Jane Drive, Sherwood, AR 72120.
