Alma Jane Turbyfill

Alma Jane Turbyfill, 93, of Little Rock, AR. passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. She was born October 29, 1928 to A.I. and Cora Sheppard in Grant county, Ar.

As a Mom she was very active and full of life. She was involved in PTA, Brownie and Girl Scouts, church, camping, and taking us to Lake Nixon. Most importantly she made sure that church and God were part of her children’s lives. She loved to sing, dance, and yodel which came naturally, her dad being a Minister of Music and stepmom playing the piano. Growing up in the depression and losing her Mom at a early age was hard. However, family and church remained a joy to her living life. She often talked about being with her family and Jesus in Heaven.

Alma is survived by her children, Brenda (Pat) Hamilton, Don (Donna) Turbyfill, Beverly (Tommy) Goad, six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and other extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Inez Sheppard, five sisters and two brothers.

Memorials to be made to Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 14510 Cedar Heights Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72118. 

Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at Cedar Heights Baptist Church.
