Alma "Mae" Perrine

Alma “Mae” Perrine, 79, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away June 26, 2022.  She was born October 11, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Marion and Esther (Tackett) Waters. 

Mae worked at Maybelline Cosmetics and served as a care giver for many years.  She loved the Lord and could often be found singing her favorite hymn, listening to gospel music, or playing the autoharp.  Her family was most important to her, and she adored her grandsons.  Mae was sweet, caring, and kindhearted.  She demonstrated this by always being willing to help others and in her love for animals.  

Preceding Mae in death are her parents, Marion and Esther (Tackett) Waters; sisters:  Betty Billingsley and Hazel Becton; and brothers:  Joel, Charles, Billy, Jimmy, and Johnny Waters.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters:  Donna Lambers of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Amanda Kindrick and husband Jason of Vilonia, Arkansas; grandsons:  Wesley York (Sharlai), Chris York, and Gavin Mosley; great-grandchildren:  Aleki York and Atlas York; twin brother, Albert Waters and wife Joyce of Florida; sister, Janie Stillians of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and many family members and friends who love Mae and will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, July 1, with funeral service following at 11:00 AM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton.  Burial will follow at Orion Cemetery in Sheridan, Arkansas.
