Alma Osment

Alma Janice Osment, 91, died Sunday. She was a resident of Oakdale Nursing Home in Judsonia. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Searcy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Warren L. Osment. She is survived by son Warren Osment, Jr. of Benton and his wife Virginia; son Charles Osment of Little Rock and his wife Becky; daughter Laurie Ann Osment of Oakdale Nursing Home in Judsonia; three grandchildren, Kathryn, Emily and Colin Osment of Little Rock, and several nieces and nephews.
She delighted in her grandchildren and was a wonderful grandma to them.
She will be admired and remembered by those who knew her for the more than fifty years of daily loving care and devotion which she gave to her daughter Laurie. Theirs was a special mother-daughter relationship. Each was the comfort and companion of the other.
The family would like to express its thanks and appreciation to the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home for the wonderful care which they took of Mrs. Osment during her final years, and would also like to thank Dr. Jim Citty of Searcy for the understanding and compassionate care which he has given to Mrs. Osment and to Laurie through the years.
A memorial service was held at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock, with Roger Pritchett officiating.
Arrangement by the North Little Rock Funeral and Cremation Service. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com .
