Allen Ridings

Allen Ridings, 79, of Beebe, Arkansas, was surrounded by his family when he went to be with the Lord October 28, 2020.  Allen was born July 2, 1941 in Judsonia, Arkansas, to Bill and Ruby (Castleberry) Ridings.

He was a star basketball player at Pangburn High School, graduating in 1959.  After high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp., and married his wife Barbara on August 30, 1961.  Allen retired from Entergy after 31 years, and was also a retired Code Enforcement Officer.  He loved his work and his family.

He was preceded in death by son Timmy Ridings and daughter Carol Williams and a sister, Billie Jean Hamilton.

Allen is survived by his wife Barbara Ridings; daughter Karen Quattlebaum; grandchildren Dawson Quattlebaum, Alexis Quattlebaum, Jordan Quattlebaum, Jennifer (Terry) Johnston, and Jessica (Michael) Nuzum; great-grandchildren Jayden Holliday, Macey Ridings, Brady Johnston and Isabella Fortson; and his brothers, Kenneth and Willie Roland.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Beebe First Baptist Church, followed by funeral at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
